As Sommelier Master celebrates its 10th anniversary, the boutique wine and spirits school is expanding its use of Velocert by digitising the diplomas of all previous generations of graduates. More than 1,000 sommeliers and spirits professionals will receive verifiable digital credentials alongside their physical diplomas.
The school first introduced digital diplomas in 2022 and has now decided to make them available to all alumni, recognising the growing importance of trusted, portable qualifications.
“We want our graduates to have credentials that support their careers long after they complete our programmes. Digital diplomas make it easier to prove qualifications and open new opportunities, while staying true to the quality and tradition our school is built on,” said Aleksander Bohinc, Co-founder and Head of Education at Sommelier Master.
This milestone reflects the growing adoption of verifiable digital credentials as education aligns with evolving European legislation and expectations for trusted, portable qualifications. Credentials issued through Velocert can be securely shared, instantly verified and are aligned with emerging European standards for digital credentials and digital wallets.
